Our Team
The heart of Texoma Freight is our team of dedicated professionals who share a passion for excellence and a commitment to delivering top-notch service. From our experienced office staff to our skilled drivers, every member of our team plays a crucial role in ensuring that we meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.

Scott Hunter
President
Scott founded Texoma Freight in 1999 with just one truck, which he drove himself. Over the years, he has embraced the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships with employees, customers, and vendors, while forging new connections with first-time clients. Scott is passionate about creating solutions that work for everyone involved and enjoys learning from the diverse operations of other businesses.
Blessed to have lived a small version of the American dream, Scott’s journey from a single truck to a thriving business is a testament to his determination and grit. His commitment goes beyond the success of Texoma Freight—he is deeply invested in the people he works with, the customers he serves, and the community he supports. Two quotes that resonate deeply with Scott are: “Thinking is difficult, that’s why most people judge,” and, “Following the herd guarantees a path to mediocrity,” the latter being a favorite of his Granny Cox.
A fifth-generation Texan, Scott values his family and the great outdoors. He has a deep love for the Rocky Mountains in the summer, classic cars, and cruises. Competing in sporting clays is a favorite pastime, and caring for a herd of goats adds a special touch to his life beyond the business.

David Rines
Operations Manager
In his role as Operations Manager, David oversees the daily activities of both drivers and administrative staff, ensuring that workflow remains smooth and productive. His responsibilities also include handling safety protocols by monitoring driver logs, managing drivers’ hours, and ensuring compliance for audits. David also manages all aspects of the LTL operations. Statement of appreciation.
What David enjoys most about his job are the relationships he's built, the opportunity to learn new things daily, and the challenge of problem-solving.
Outside of work, David enjoys spending time with his family, participating in USPSA shooting matches, golfing, and being outdoors. David lives by the motto, "If you are going to do something, do it right the first time," and is motivated by providing for his family and being able to pursue his interests. His favorite movie is "Blues Brothers," and he dreams of traveling to Europe to explore its rich history.

Jon Richerson
Dispatcher
Jon serves as the Dispatcher at Texoma Freight, where his primary responsibilities include managing and scheduling freight transportation while coordinating with both drivers and customers to ensure smooth operations. His role is essential in keeping the logistics chain running efficiently, and his day-to-day duties often involve problem-solving and handling challenging situations. Jon finds great satisfaction in the fast-paced nature of his job and thrives on the analytical aspects of resolving complex issues. Moreover, he enjoys the collaboration with customers and working with his team at Texoma Freight, which he describes as a truly rewarding experience. Jon believes that what sets Texoma Freight apart from other companies is the integrity and commitment to exceeding expectations.
Jon’s favorite quote, “If it’s too loud, you’re too old,” perfectly captures his vibrant and youthful spirit, both in and out of the office. In his free time, Jon enjoys spending quality time with his family, playing guitar in a rock band, and performing concerts a few times a year. A surprising fact about Jon is that he has five grandchildren, with the oldest being 22 years old! His favorite movie is Star Wars and is excited to travel to Germany, where he was born in Heidelberg.

Juan Garcia
Mechanic
Juan serves as mechanic and maintenance at Texoma Freight, where he is also responsible for essential safety protocols. Juan enjoys the routine and reliability of his role, showing up every day with dedication. It impresses the team that, even in his 60s, Juan runs at full speed. In fact, his personal motto is, "Work hard and never stop."
Outside of work, he spends his weekends doing handyman tasks and loves working on cars in his spare time.

Donna
Office Manager
Donna serves as the Office Manager at Texoma Freight, where she is the go-to person for problem-solving and prioritizing the various tasks that keep the office running smoothly. Her responsibilities include handling Owner Operators' paperwork and payroll, managing Accounts Payable and Receivable, assisting with Requests for Proposals, maintaining Master Transportation Agreements, and hiring and training office staff. Donna also prepares reports and ensures that everyone in the office stays on schedule. To stay organized and efficient in her role, Donna employs a meticulous system of color coordination for everything, even the company calendar designed by her daughter and colleague, Grace.
What Donna enjoys most about her job is the people she works with and the dynamic nature of logistics. With so many moving parts inside and outside the office, there’s never a dull moment. What sets Texoma Freight apart from other companies, according to Donna, is the way the team problem-solves together. There’s no competition—just collaboration.
One memorable moment Donna recalls is the time she was leaving the office to find smoke so thick in the warehouse she could barely see. She called to David in a panic; he calmly reassured her that it was just the smoke from the brisket he was making. Donna joked that even the birds in the rafters must have been coughing. Now she (and the whole block!) knows when David is smoking brisket!
Outside of work, Donna enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. She has a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and enjoys watching baseball games, golfing, refurbishing furniture, thrifting, building things, and painting. A surprising fact about Donna is that she is certified to scuba dive. Her favorite quote, “To err is human; to forgive, divine,” reflects her approach to life and work. When it comes to motivation, Donna draws her strength from her faith in Jesus, who inspires her to do her best every day.

Price
One-Million-Mile+ Driver
Price began working at Texoma Freight in 2011 as an Over The Road driver. His primary responsibilities include picking up and delivering freight, as well providing excellent service to our customers. What he enjoys most about his job is the chance to see the country and explore new cities while on the road.
When Price isn't working, he enjoys spending time at his lake cabin, boating, fishing, and playing golf.
One of Price’s favorite quotes is: “Never regret a day in your life: good days give happiness, bad days give experience, worst days give lessons, and the best days give memories.”
